That’s right, a totally stuck mk2 golf that had impaled its self on top of some poor farmers fencing. I arrived at spring fest 2007 to be greeted by Simon asking me if (as I am a famer) I had come in a Land Rover as he needed pulling out of a hedge.... Yup, we were all laughing lots. The night before on the way up Simon had misjudged a corner and gone completely through a hedge!! Anyway Tommy Newbold of DM fame stepped up to the challenge with his A4 estate and one small ratchet strap.

With the help of fellow F6er's we attempted to un-free the Golf.

This was also the first time I met Steven Doe, more of a hindrance then any help... now there's a surprise.
Anyway we tried and we tried to get it out,

But weren’t really getting anywhere

And so gave up using the A4 to try and pull it out. Then a saviour appeared, one guy in his Mitsubishi Shogon which indecently was full of his family and dogs. He was flagged down and agreed to help us.
Pretty much came straight out then.

Dragging half the fence with it we soon detached it and looked back at where Simon had gone... Probably about a good 12 meters into the hedge/field!!

Without a doubt this has gone down in F6 history as a classic. Simon you dick!!! hahaha
