So while my little NB may not be the bell of the ball about a month back it wasn't looking half bad...

Now I know that there are thousands out there on the interwebs that look way better but this was mine and was heading in the right direction.
That was until I decided to try and make the most of the legendary handling these little cars are famed for.
Knowing that the bushes had seen better days I ordered myself the full quota of Powerflex bushes and prepared to replace all 26 that attached the wheels to the car.

They weren't going to fit themselves were they?

All the wishbones got a good going over with the wire brush and obligatory black paint before embracing the new bushes and going back on the car.

With every thing underneath my car looking like it should still be on the Titanic rather than a cherished automobile not everything came off without a fight.

Having lovely new polybushes will do nothing for your handling if you're chassis rails are still trying to do battle with the road so the only option was to raise it up...

The difference is amazing. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner!
Now while all this was going on I'd sold the Modern lines because they were simply too heavy and I wanted to go up a size. I was also finishing off the bodywork and having trouble picking the shade of blue to go back to.

The truth is that both paints went on really patchy so I'm currently weighing up my options for paint.
Hopefully the next update will be in a lovely hue of blue all over and on some slightly bigger rolling stock.
Till next time.
