All i wanted when i was 16 was a polo, a mk4, silver polo. This was after i got over my max power phase of wanting/pricing up every mod I was going to carefully execute on my punto, no wait my clio, no no my saxo. Yeh at school we talked about owning pretty much every hatchback and how we'd make them amazing but I started looking at volkswagen forums and this got all those silly ideas out of my head. But i never got my silver mk4 polo so after saving for a year and getting a bit of money for my 18th birthday which i saved, then saving for nearly another whole year I decided then was the time to buy my Polo that i'd always wanted, also being 18 going on 19 meant my insurance had come down so i thought i'd buy a 16v because i was told they were quick. I began my hunt and then i found the one, low milage, one lady owner, fsh, silver and up for reasonable money, so me and my dad trecked up to watford one afternoon and i put a deposit down on it, picked up it that weekend.

I was pretty damn happy and after my 1.0l polo and 1.6 driver mk2 it felt quick. I had already purchased a few bits ready to get it how i wanted it and dad knew a fella that was willing to paint it for peanuts so i fitted my parts had it painted and bought a new set of wheels.

Got my door beat in by some chief with a pool cue a week later so had to get that sorted.

The spending had started. I was happy as larry at the time but i knew more had to happen so i kept spending out and it looked better.

Attended various shows with it and it started to get a few fans of my select modifications which was nice. This car also made me a fair few friends who i met along the way which was also nice.
Blew a gearbox up which was good fun so sourced a replacement and got that sorted.

Fitted various sets of wheels i picked up along the way some better than others.

Had some proper pictures taken of it by a nice fella that fancied killing a friday night with me and Doey.

I kept at it and spent more and more and then its finest moment was when i got my student loan through and rinsed it on my favourite set of wheels ever.

Then the next day after fitting the Work's on my way to get the car tracked up I managed to smash the front end up but knew a few people with a few bits and as gutted as i was managed to get it fixed that evening.

Having mis-matched panels was poop so i decide to make the best out of a bad situation, more than once...

Then i decided i'd sell the car but couldn't help myself but run a few more sets of wheels before it went.

Thats pretty much the history in short of my Polo, best car I ever owned and had so much fun in the process. Hope you enjoyed my babbel I'll get it up to date with the story of the yellow thing in the background of that last picture next...
